1986 is a modification for S.T.A.L.K.E.R, following in the same First-Person Shooter and Role-Playing Game combination.
This mod is currently about creating a modern living world through a single player component of stalkers X-Ray engine technology.

Priboi Story
A total conversion mod that replaces the original plot with the story of a military lieutenant Priboi Slipchenko.

Approximately one year has passed since the Marked One's story. You are the military Lieutenant Priboi Slipchenko, and you were sent into the Zone... There was a secret organization, called UHSF, and they were responsible for the incident. They had a base at Dead City (Limansk?) but the mercenaries whipped them out in the late 80's. The organization fell apart, and the last living members disappeared until today. Somehow this story is connected to the Marked One's story, and you'll eventually find out how. Over 20 important classified documents were hidden in the zone and you will need to find them to complete the puzzle. You will need to be 'Sherlock Holmes' and dig deeper in the zone then you have ever done before. If you find a missing document, you will need to read it to obtain information about the case, or get some clues about where to look next. You are in the Zone again, but it has changed. While the zone appears to have become a better place to survive in, but this has only caused it to become more difficult as it has driven more mutants from the center of the zone, and has increased the amount of threats in the Zone. The mercenaries have gained control on the Agroprom factory, and the military was pushed back to Cordon. You might be their only hope...

Weapons
- Barman and Sidorovich now repair weapon and armor. To have this option in dialogue you have to finish first quest in start location (thx MoDD)
- Silencers, grenade launchers and optics are now installed on the weapon in compliance with real life
- Reallife weapon’s ballistic
- Shooting precision now depends on the weapon conditions
- Properties of all weapon renewed and fixed
- Properties of RGD5 and F1 changed
- All humans take more damage (to choose while installing)
- TOZ weapon now can be bought from Sidorovich
Player
- Player has hunger more often (to choose while installing)
- Accuracy while standing decreased, while sitting increased
- Game player doesn't miss enemies that are very close or running anymore
- Binocular does not point out enemies with a frame (to choose while installing)
- You can now grab some items and dead monster bodies with hands
- Sight (and optical sight) now moving when you aiming. (to choose while installing)
- Maximal/minimal walk weight changed (to choose while installing)
- Bandages and food heal less (to choose while installing)
- Eye level is heightened
- Weapons are not removed forcibly when in bar or by Sidorovich
Trade
- All traders are now have more useful goods
- All prices tripled
- Traders are now buying goods for 1/10 of its price
- Stalkers now sell ammo
- Reduced weight of parts of creatures, prices depends on rarity
Anomalies
- Anomalies are now seen as "hot air" effect (to choose while installing)
- When moving near anomalies, new post effects appear (to choose while installing)
- Anomalies are invisible (to choose while installing)
NPCs
- NPCs respawn each +/- 16 game hours (roughly one real hour)
- Dead bodies disappear faster
- Enemies turn off their headlighters during the night fight if they see you. And turn it on, when not.
- Few repetitive phrases of NPCs are removed
- NPC now taking and using weapon if it better than they have. Load a weapon before giving it to NPC!
Artifacts:
- Artifacts more difficult to find (removed jumping, sparkling, shining). Instead “hot air” effect and some new cosmetic changes added. Fixed prices and properties. (Thx SoCR, Ra7)
- Artefacts properties are completely changed. Now artefacts have 3 level: 1 - weak and simple, 2 - have improved effects and qualities, 3 - intended for improving your skills. (Thx Ra7 and SoCR)
- Artifacts spawn probability decreased
UI:
- PDA screen takes less space while opened
- Crosshair adjusted (more CS like)
Misc:
- Bolts "live time" increased
- Knife, torch and bolts weight added (they were weightless)
- Weather changed: sun position depends on the time of the day
- Nights more darker, sun and shadow directions changed
- Changed sound of night-goggle
- More blood
- Quests time two times increased
- Many more small fixes

- At opponents the bleeding is included - now damages from the weapon turn out real. With such parameters the bullet in a head at once kills, at hit in other parts of body NPC behave on a miscellaneous, sometimes lift the weapon to shoot, but are not in time and fall as on a place, can run on some meters, but with a bullet in a leg far will not run, that is behaviour NPC after hit happens any way.
- Accuracy and force of a small arms and pomegranate is increased.
- This of fashions allows to do addons on all of the weapon.
- As the instinct of self-preservation at stalkers yet does not work Has included immunity from fire (that in NPC did not burn) and Has included immunity from an electricity.
- The weapon now does not break.
- Growth, the maximal transferable weight of 80 kg is increased
- TOZ-34 weapon now can be bought from Sidorovich

The aim of this Mod is to provide enhanced and rebalanced game play for Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl.

The aim of this Mod is to provide enhanced and rebalanced game play for Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, with out straying to far from (my interpretation of) the developers original intent. This is not a realism mod, I have rebalanced many aspects including the weapons and ballistics to what I consider to be fair to gameplay, not necessarily realistic.
- This mod enhances the retail version of Stalker through improved; graphics, sound, performance, balance, AI/A-life, day/night weather, weapon ballistics & ragdolls, quests, trading, unique items, text/interaction, interactivity, artifacts, health & sleep system, options, hidden secrets, bug fixes and generally removes a lot of the things that just really annoy.
- Basically this is a Mod Merge of many many community made mini mods working together in harmony with my own tweaks and customization, Just look at the screen-shots!
